T-shirt Designers: A lot of sites don’t give credit to the designers, but this is where I feature works with a known designer.

This is a great shirt. It shows you dig the Harry Potter stuff, but it’s understated. I just watched the Deathly Hallows Part 1 last night and Part 2 at an old theater on the Eastside of Milwaukee (Oriental) today, and this symbol obviously played a huge part.

my patronus is a wokiee t shirtThis is a very nice concept. Well conceived and executed by artist SevenHundred and offered by Red Bubble. I laugh every time I think about it, especially because the Wookiee Patronus is the only one of the Patronus’ that makes noise, and, of course, that noise that pained yowl, even if things are good, times are happy, and all is right with the world.

Nice wordplay. You know the movie Snakes on a Plane featuring a desperate Samuel L. Jackson. And, of course, you’re familiar with the snakes imagery on canes. Combine them and you have a keeper t shirt. Do you agree? Will you take the next step to own this Snakes on a Cane T Shirt? Will you show a little faith? You will you put a little cash on the table as a token of your belief that this shirt very well make the difference in your life?

Get Sauced with Saucewear T Shirt shop outta Boston. I have to say the name and the tag bring all sorts of things to mind, and I get confused, happy, manic, and I don’t know what else. Plus, do you ever look at a word long enough and it stops looking like a word? That’s happening to me with the word Sauced. How can that even be a word?

I just started following Bluelips on Twitter because the woman behind the site www.bluelips.com, founder Toni Riss, is using humor to deal with her trials with advanced breast cancer. Plus, Blue Lips is a great name and the logo featuring a skull with blue lips is delicious.

Do Work Son T Shirt

by on June 9, 2011

Of course, when I’m confused or in the dark about a pop culture saying I turn to the Urban Dictionary and they help me out tremendously. Do Work Son was coined by Rob Dyrdek and his bodyguard Christopher “Big Black” Boykins. Of course, the first thing you really should remember about the Urban Dictionary is that about 83% of it is total bullshit. This story about a white sounding dude with a black bodyguard coining a phrase sounds like absolute malarky.

This Michael Scott Goodbyes Stink Shirt, of course, references Michael Scott’s last episode on The Office and his little voice recorder message to himself for a t shirt idea “goodbyes stink.” Time for actor Steve Carell to move on.

Soul Surfer T Shirt

by on May 15, 2011

Here’s a movie about the surfer girl, Bethany Hamilton, who lost an arm to a shark while surfing, but decided it was a good idea to continue surfing.

Of course, Wikipedia says the term soul surfing cropped up in the 1960s as describing surfing for the shear pleasure of surfing. This was before bullshit billabong surf competitions. Or apparel lines. Or groupies. Surfing for surfings sake.

Double alert going on here: cute alert and wordplay alert. Let’s get into the wordplay of this You Drive Me Nuts T Shirt. Artist Gaston Caba from Buenos Aires, Argentina has taken the popular English phrase and gone literal in the design, with two little acorns driving a well-to-do squirrel, who’s smoking a cigar, and wearing sophisticated red striped pants, and a top hat, and holding a cane, in a very fancy limousine with an acorn hood ornament. This car is so long it needs 6 wheels. There’s a whole back compartment for the rich squirrel’s tail.

This obviously is a spoof on the Hope poster that Shepard Fairey designed for Barack Obama’s presidential campaign, which was just another amazing piece to the marketing brilliance that was Obama’s campaign. Of course, it was all just a trap, because we now have learned that Obama is just like the others when it comes to giving slobbery bjs to corporate interests. That’s what 604 Republic is trying to tell us with this Admiral Ackbar Trap T shirt.
