Shop Review: Crunchy Badger Likes Specific Movie Scenes and Oliver Reed

by on November 6, 2010

Apparently, Oliver Reed was a famous actor in the UK. And he was beloved because he was a drunkard and a  straight shooter and a tough guy on screen and off.  He died in 1999, yet he pops up on a funny t shirt in 2010. That’s iconic staying  power.

Apparently, he did a lot of talk show appearances drunk off his ass, including one where he his sloppy drunk singing and dancing, which is what has been captured on this What Would Oliver Reed Do T shirt.  If you’re a rebellious sort and you have a prediliction toward all things English, then this is a shirt you should strongly consider buying. If this one isn’t speaking to you, Crunchy Badger has come up with a pretty unique movie t shirt concept.

They give you the name of the movie and add a timestamp when the best scene of the movie comes in. I think this might catch on and become some sort of Internet meme. It’s interesting…

Scarface – 160:40 – Tony Montana throws a fake grenade.

The Blues Brothers – 115:56 – “It’s 106 miles to Chicago. We’ve got a full tank of gas, half a packet of cigarettes, it’s dark, and we’re wearing sunglasses… Hit it.”

Jaws – 81:28 – “You’re gonna need a bigger boat.”

The Shining – 124:21 – “Here’s Johnny!”

Taxi Driver – 66:37 – “You talkin’ to me?”

Dr. No – 8:12 – “The Name’s Bond…James Bond.”

The Terminator – 57:10 – “I’ll be back.”

Even though they reference some of the most celebrated lines in film history, these shirts are completely different than anything you see out there. I like that. I like the tiny little image that represents the movies, like a shark fin for Jaws, and axe for the Shining, and a mohawk for Taxi Driver.

You really need to check out Crunchy Badger, so you can say I had this exact time in the movie shirt before anybody in my immediate vicinity. That’s making some memories right there.
