Fuck the Color Blind T Shirt

by on October 13, 2010

The only redeeming factor in this truly horrible and offensive shirt is that the group it discriminates against doesn’t know that it is, because they can’t read it. Other than that, no qualities worthy of this Fuck the Color Blind T Shirt existing on this great green earth.

Disagree. Let me know and let’s have a civil dialogue about the merits of this rag.

T-Shirt Hell should be ashamed of themselves. I mean it’s hard enough that you can’t match your socks, now you have this harsh sentiment against you. Not cool.

I’m colorblind, and I heard about the image before I ever saw it on a t-shirt, and I thought it was so funny, I made my own t-shirt from it.

Conrad, you’re not taking this hard enough. You should be up in arms. Organizing marches…not celebrating the base humor. On the other hand, maybe should have have braille for the color blind. Every color has a different texture. Could get expensive and cumbersome, but I’m looking out for you Conrad.

I too am colourblind, and when I first saw this T-shirt and had a colleague read it to me, I had a fit of laughter. I find it hillarious. Three reasons for this:
– its political incorrectness is liberating
– the humour is subtle in the sense that the people it claims to offend are blind to the offense
– the minority of colurblind people is not and has never been victimized or deliberately discriminized.

Had the T-shirt been less harsh in its wording, had it been printed in black-on-white, or had it targeted a discriminized minority such as homosexuals or jews, then it would have been pointless at best or revolting at worst, but as it is I find it decidedly funny.

@Rasmus – that is very good analysis on this shirt. You may be colorblind but you obviously have a keen sense of humor. Love the name Rasmus too.
