Shawshank Redemption Brooks Was Here T shirt

brooks-was-here-teeFirst off, RIP James Whitmore. Who died in February of this year. Whitmore played Brooks, who was an institututionalized lifer in Shawshank prison, who couldn’t deal with being released into the world after 50 years in the joint. If you think about it, that would be a pretty scary prospect. Anyway, before he hanged himself in the parlor, Brooks carved “Brooks was here” in the mahogany.

Now, that I’ve written all this, not much funny happening here. More poignant than anything. I guess if you break it down, the proper life shouldn’t be all fun and games and whoopee cushions. So, I’m going to repeat what Kurt Vonnegut  said on his death bed (with artistic liberty of course): “life should be 90% farting around and 10% other serious endeavors, like brushing your teeth, shoveling sidewalks, and wearing tshirts with quotes from beloved characters in quintessential prison films.”

Take a moment from your analysis of Dane Cook’s lame stand up and apply your hard earned cash to a very important part of a balanced life. Purchase, right now, the Brooks Was Here Tee.

The Busted Tees is something to sees.
