Star Wars T Shirts

Star Wars T Shirts: I had to break this out of the movies tag, so it could be its own world, because there are about 3 trillion Star Wars designs out there. Lots of good stuff if you’re a fan.

Another mashup shirt combining the visage of a Storm Trooper from Star Wars with the ubiquitous smiley with the hole shot in it’s head. Throw in a little Dr. Manhattan and Ozymandias from Watchmen and you have a spectacular amount of pop culture stuffed onto one tiny little t shirt.

What’s Hot Page Updated

by on February 25, 2011

Hey, I just updated the What’s Hot page, and it totally burnt my fingertips as I was typing. There are just some scorching shirts right now, and you can find them all on the page I use to document this type of phenomenon. You really should check it out if you want to be hot. Really, the only way you can take it to the perfect 10 in the hotness scale, otherwise known scovilles. These shirts have major scovilles and their led by a perfectly amazing looking Star Wars shirt.

This is just a cool looking shirt. Han Solo was always cool. Harrison Ford was handsome and he had a bit of caustic wit and he always did it his way. Combine that with a weird and so shallow he was deep Andy Warhol and you have an amazing collision of substance and style and pop culture. I almost feel like if too many people wear this Double Solo Warhol T Shirt it may create an pop culture vortex that will suck up any and all that enjoy movies, music, and television…and viral Youtube videos. Almost like the Second Coming of Christ, except instead of Christians being whisked away it’s entertainment addicts.

Hey, who’s your daddy? Good little bit of play on words going on here. In other words….wordplay. Darth Vader asking Luke Skywalker in a more urban language type of way if he knows who his daddy is. Almost a rhetorical question, because if you’ve seen this Star Wars thing you know Darth is the man that produced the seed to create the Luke and twin sister Leia. But, it’s a movie, and it needs some dramatic tension, so Luke has to play along with the whole, who’s your daddy routine for a while. Annakin Skywalker…Luke Skywalker…get it…geez.

What you have here is an esoteric Star Wars t shirt, which is kind of a rare thing.  They’re playing off the baking soda box and the Storm Trooper menacing authority garnered from their guns and ammunition (shout out Junior Murvin!) Whoever designed that baking soda box was a genius. The image with the circle around it is so immediately eye pleasing I don’t even know how to express it, and this Arm & Blaster The Standard of Authority T Shirt does a great job capturing that magic.

Just ran into this very nice looking funny t shirt shop based in El Monte, California, which is the little city brother to Del Monte, which specializes in fruit. That’s the next step up from t shirts, but you have to start  somewhere.

This makes absolutely no sense, but with all the Star Wars shirts out there, I guess one can be an absurdest take on the Darth Vader-Luke Skywalker evil father redemption scenario. You see maybe milk I’m your mother works with a cow with some udders. Oh, wait, this cow that is telling that half gallon of milk that’s she’s his father actually is a cow and does have udders, so basically she’s fucking with the half gallon of milk, which isn’t very nice, and will probably lead to drug abuse in the later teenage years, but maybe the smashing humor in the moment is worth it. What do you think? Should we go ahead and examine it further?

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…Nah Just Kidding, I’ve Never Seen Star Wars T Shirt. So, I’m trying to get the logic or purpose of this shirt. Most hilarious shirts are purchased to impress your friends or like-minded people you hang out with in bars or rodeo after parties. I suppose you know if you’re a nerd or geek or perhaps in the case of this shirt if you’re not really one of those, but you hang with those that are, then you can do a kind of gotcha on them. They’re Star Wars freaks. They have Boba Fett posters on the inside roof of their cars…Gremlins and Toyota Matrix’s for those that were able to make it through the Network Administrator interview process. Anyway, they have an immediate attraction to anything that has that scrolling movie font on it, so they move close read the “A long time ago” bit, get excited then you stomach punch them with that off-handed just kidding, I’ve never even seen Star Wars.

Elvis Meets Vader T Shirt

by on December 6, 2010

Wow. This is a power meeting between two guys at the top of their game. One living large as the Supreme Commander of the Galactic Empire and one capturing the hearts of every girl in the US and abroad with his hip shake and sexy voice. No one knew at the time that both were headed for spectacular falls from grace and untimely deaths. But, players gotta play no matter what the consequences. And that’s the truth.

Apparently Nerdy Shirts just hooked up a licensing deal for Star Wars shirts because they just loaded like eight of them to their site recently. Unless, they’re going balls to the wall pirate on this Lucas property, they’ve negotiated to send a percentage to George NoChin in exchange for rights to sell their brand on shirts. If you’re a Star Wars fan, you should probably go check out this new bounty.

Admiral Ackbar figured out it was a trap. Billy Dee Williams was making some excellent decisions despite being stickin’ drunk from the 6-pack of Colt 44s he drank. Very exciting part of the Return of the Jedi movie. Krylov223 on Youtube explains it like this:

Hey all you Star Wars nerds out there. This one is for you. What Darth Vader learned early on was when one door closes another opens, and you have to keep your eyes open and be quick on your feet to find the new opportunity. This whole blown up Death Star deal is just a minor setback, but Luke, Hans, Leia, Chewy, R2D2, C3PO, and Billy Dee Williams need to realize is that even in destruction a spirit of community can germinate and grow.
