Don’t have any idea what this means. I’m pretty sure there’s not a weird dinosaur butterfly on a shirt that is bidding farewell to Paul Newman. Randy Newman has sung songs that have the word goodbye in them, but again the dinosaur butterfly isn’t making sense.
Seinfeld
Because my mom doesn’t allow me to watch TV, I had no idea what the heck this I Can’t Spare a Square T Shirt was all about. I mean it’s pretty random. That is until I did a couple hours of Internet research and found out that this was a scene in a classic Seinfeld episode.

Jerk is a cool word to have on your shirt no matter what it’s referencing. It could be “I’m with the Jerk” with an arrow. That’s classic. Or it could be “I liked the movie The Jerk” with a cross-eyed face, because that’s what happened in Steve Martin’s The Jerk. Then there’s the Jamaican jerk food specialty, which is what this The Jerk Store T Shirt sort of reminds me of because it says Jerk and it has a Red Stripe like the Jamaican beer Red Stripe. Of course, that’s not at all what this The Jerk Store t shirt is about.
George Costanza tells the unemployment office that he’s applied to be a latex salesman at Vandelay Industries Importing/Exporting Fine Latex Goods. He gives them Seinfeld’s number. Now, Seinfeld has to answer his phone Vandelay Industries and play along with the hijinx, so Costanza can keep his unemployment checks rollin’ in.
Apparently, there was this show called Seinfeld where some neighbors sat around and talked a lot. It was a massive success. This shirt is in reference to a beloved episode where the Jerry Seinfeld (like the name of the show), which is his real name, except he’s a fictional character in the show, which is totally confusing…anyway, he doesn’t want to wear the puffy shirt.
