I’m not sure. You have the Statue of Liberty holding a beer in place of the torch and on the book it says “I’m just saying.” Is the shirt a commentary about how low brow American culture has become, and the concepts of liberty and freedom don’t really mean anything to anyone because they just want to booze it up and watch the latest installment of the most reality tv show programming you can think of.

Or maybe they’re saying: it’s bad now. We’ve got SOPA and NDAA and the TSA expanding its reach. Little steps to utter destruction of our liberty, so this Could Be Worse T Shirt is like a call to action. You know this little bits of our Constitution are being destroyed. Or freedoms are eroding in the name of safety from terrorists, but we still eat ice cream, and go to the mall for clothes, and drive a late model sedan comfortably to work. But, that’s all about to change with the impending implosion, and it may be too late to do anything about it.

Or maybe it’s just Lady Liberty saying, you know I’m stuck here on Ellis Island for all these years drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon, but it could be worse. I could be stuck in D.C. drinking Miller Lite, and watching Congress destroy this country one piece of legislation at a time.

What do you think this shirt is saying? Let me know in the comments.

That’s a smart piece ofcommentary. On the shirt and in that description. Both speak to the cultural and political malaise that’s rampant in this country. “Fat, happy, and stupid” is what we are. rise up and make this country better, America! My trouble is I’m as useless as everyone else-I dont know where to begin. Guess I’ll boost the economy with the purchase of this shirt. It will inspire revolt, and I will follow. Unless the revolt is halfassed, retarded, or evil. In which case I’ll grab a six-pack and say “Whatever, dude.’
