I just started following Bluelips on Twitter because the woman behind the site www.bluelips.com, founder Toni Riss, is using humor to deal with her trials with advanced breast cancer. Plus, Blue Lips is a great name and the logo featuring a skull with blue lips is delicious.

Five Finger Tees are so cheap, most under $10, that when you purchase something from them you kinda have a sneaky feeling that maybe you are stealing. Don’t worry it goes away when you get the package and put on the shirts and impress all your friends, family and enemies with how awesome you are.

PalmerCash is a fairly well known retailer comparable to an Urban Outfitters…a hip, young shop with interesting apparel and knick knacks. Of course, as a reviewer of funny t shirts I’m concerned with the Palmer Cash catalog of tees, which is rich with weirdness and interesting concept and design.

You probably need to go check out Solid Threads for several reasons, but two that come immediately to the fore as you peruse their site. First, their tagline is Loose Morals, Solid Threads, Happy Endings. That is terrific. Who doesn’t want to do business with an enterprise that has their shit together like that and put it into words so concisely.

I remember checking out Tshirt Bordello a while back and I wasn’t that impressed. Kind of your standard issue humor shirts. Nothing really stood out. Designs you could find elsewhere. Not horrible like some tshirt sites you see, but nothing to email, text or Skype call your mama about.

The featured topics on these shirts are your typical Mario Bros., Star Wars, dragons, but they’re done in such an original way, that if you are in to these types of things…if you truly are a nerdy geek, you’re gonna love these shirts.

I just posted a review of Polly & Crackers, a seriously interesting player in the funny t shirt business. Take your time with this site. At first it looks like a bunch of poorly designed, super weird stuff, but it totally grows on you, and you see there’s a method to the mad randomness.
It’s like a band you don’t think you like at first, but you know there’s something there, so you keep listening, and the layers start to reveal themselves and all of a sudden their album is one of your favorites and in constant rotation on the iPod. In fact, I think I’m in danger of becoming obsessed. Proceed at your own risk. I mean even that logo grows on you. Polly is a fine clean font. Crackers is jacked. And that little girl is cussing like a sailor.

Polly and Crackers is a nice little shirt outfit from North Carolina (I did some heavy duty research on the area code on their contact phone number). They go for the lo-fi look on their designs, and the messaging is obtuse or even random.
