This Are We Having Fun Yet T Shirt has a pink bow, and I have no idea why. Where does this thing come from? Obviously the saying has been around for like 92 years. Actually according to the Urban Dictionary the phrase was coined by Bill Griffith in his Zippy the Pinhead cartoon. Then it caught on with the general public and was used and abused until it was all used up, and yet you can still hear it exclaimed in exasperation today.
Still doesn’t explain the pink bow, but I’m sure someone reading this knows what it means. Help me out in the comments if you can. Please!

Playboy bunny allusion?
the show party down (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1073507/)
the main character is an actor and was famous for a beer commercial in which he said “are we having fun yet” the bow is in reference to the pink bowties that were part of the waiters uniform
Thanks Molly. That clears things up!
The pink bowtie is a reference to the TV show ‘Party Down’ which aired on Starz for two seasons. The main characters all worked for a catering company where the pink bowtie was part of the uniform, and the central character was a former actor known for doing adverts in which his catchphrase was ‘Are we having fun yet?’
Thanks Sophie. Sometimes I need a little help.
